The billionaires are doing ok. The millionaires are doing ok. Working class and impoverished Americans are in the lurch. 

The United States needs a targeted universal basic income for people who really need financial support.  Many basic jobs don’t pay a living wage and many Americans will never earn enough money from a low wage job. Supplementing worker incomes when they need extra money stabilizes families and neighborhoods.

Education & Crime

 

They are neighborhoods in Chicago where only a few teens and young men that destabilized the entire neighborhood.  I guess these young men struggled to read, write, and complete their homework assignments in elementary school. I'm also assuming these teens and young men had adverse childhood experiences.

Education experts know what is needed to improve educational outcomes for low income students. Chicago residents with power and resources have to be persuaded to help reform the bureaucracy that prevents innovation in public education.

If You're Really “Woke”

 

African American civil rights and African American “woke” organizations should focus more ending crime and violence in lower income Black neighborhoods.  Yes, racism and discrimination is the root cause of crime and violence among African Americans.  400 years of racism and discrimination has held Black people back from developing the cultural capital and a economic base like European Americans (White people), and other Americans.

The crime in our community is a toxic mix of poverty, ignorance, and self hate.  It will take resources from the United States government to create a practical elementary and high school education system, after school programs, and Saturday school programs that would socially engineer the end of neighborhood crime.
