I have a
running joke with my family and friends.
I like saying “they are going to pay for what they did to me”!
I understand
I should not think about the people, institutions, and situations that I believed
are the foundation of my negative thoughts.
However, it is hard to let the pain of the past go. The things these people, institutions, and situations
did to me happened 30, 40, 50 years ago. They are part of my life story. They
are part of my identity.
I know “what
they did to me” are now just old thoughts.
Starting 01-01-2019 I will began replacing those thoughts with present moment awareness.
